Functional medicine is a systems biology-based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to an individual's illness. For example, depression can be caused by many different factors, including inflammation. Likewise, a cause such as inflammation may lead to a number of different diagnoses, including depression. The precise manifestation of each cause depends on the individual’s genes, environment, and lifestyle, and only treatments that address the right cause will have lasting benefit beyond symptom suppression.

  1. With our help you will provide a comprehensive health history.
  2. We will review he health history from step 1, ask for clarifications, then prepare a health matrix and timeline.
  3. We will then discuss the plan and determine if any additional data is needed (e.g.labs, self-tracking, etc.).
  4. Once we are satisfied with the previous step, we will provide concrete recommendations. This may include nutrition, lifestyle changes, self-tracking, questions to ask your GP, and more.
  5. We will monitor your health, reassess, and adjust recommendations accordingly. This step can be repeated multiple times.
